The Wisconsin State Patrol is dedicating efforts this January to promoting winter driving safety.
Officials report that between October 2023 and May of the previous year, adverse weather conditions were responsible for over 11,000 crashes statewide.
To minimize the risk of accidents, the patrol advises drivers to avoid traveling during severe winter weather when possible.
If driving is necessary, motorists are encouraged to reduce speed, stay focused on the road, and give snowplows ample space to operate safely.
