Classes have been canceled for the Hamilton School District in Waukesha County this morning following a heartbreaking incident involving a school bus.
A four-year-old kindergarten student lost his life after being hit by a bus in the parking lot of Silver Spring Intermediate School in Sussex shortly after 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
The boy was in the process of switching buses on his way to Willow Springs Learning Center when the tragic accident occurred.
The Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department has stated that the crash is being treated as an accident, with the bus driver fully cooperating with the ongoing investigation.
