The City of Two Rivers will be providing free Christmas Tree collection next week.
The city has announced that beginning January 6th, residents will be able to place their trees on the curb for pickup along with their garbage and recycling receptacles.
Residents in Two Rivers will also be able to drop off Christmas trees at the Public Works Garage between 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
For trees to be accepted for pickup, plastic tree bags must be removed.
Trees must also be free of tinsel, ornaments, or other contaminants. Contaminated trees will not be picked up or accepted at the Public Works Garage.
Next week, no other yard waste is to be collected.
As is the case with garbage and recycling bins, trees may not be placed on the curb until 6:00 p.m. the day before the regularly scheduled pickup day.
Residents unable to dispose of trees during the curbside pickup period may take them to the Manitowoc County compost site at 3000 Basswood Road in Manitowoc during regular business hours.
