A local nature preserve is looking for volunteers for next year.
Woodland Dunes in Two Rivers is accepting applications for their summer 2025 interim crew that will begin on June 3rd and end on August 8th.
The dunes say it’s an excellent opportunity for college students to gain professional experience in their field of study.
Interns will make $14 an hour for the ten-week internship and work from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday.
Candidates must want to pursue a career in environmental education or early childhood/elementary education.
Students would teach nature-themed day camps and family programs or work to participate in citizen projects or help with Woodland Dunes’ daily operations.
An application can be sent to Jess Johnsrud and must include a cover letter, resume, and two references.
Applications are due by January 31st at 3:00 pm.
