The Sheboygan County Food Bank has announced they are supporting more families than ever as 2024 is coming to an end.
While on the surface this seems to be a positive, it also means more families in Sheboygan County are struggling to put food on the table than ever before as well.
On average, the food bank is seeing approximately 6,850 family visits a month, a 240 percent increase from three years ago.
This is also more monthly visits than they saw at the height of the pandemic.
Since 2020, the food bank in Sheboygan has expanded the annual food budget by 578 percent as well to combat inflation and keep families fed.
The food bank is also only 13 percent of the way to its end-of-year goal of $200,000, and if you would like to help out, donations can be made online or by sending a check to the Sheboygan County Food Bank at 3115 North 21st Street.
