Several local and area high school boys’ basketball teams are involved in holiday tournaments throughout Wisconsin on Friday.
Beginning with the St. Mary Spring’s Holiday Tournament in Fond Du Lac, where Roncalli battles St. Mary Catholic at 1:30 p.m., Mishicot hosts Day one of the Big East/EWC Challenge.
Game one has Manitowoc Lutheran battling Kiel at 5 p.m., followed by Mishicot and New Holstein at 6:30 p.m.
Two Rivers takes on Port Washington at The Oostburg Holiday tournament at 3:30 p.m.
The second game has the host, Flying Dutchman, taking on Destiny of Milwaukee at 6:30 p.m.
Florence has a date with Cedar Grove Belgium at 5 p.m. at the Reedsville Holiday Tournament.
The nightcap has the host Panthers taking on Lake Country Classical Academy of Oconomowoc at 6:30 p.m.
At the Sun Drop Shoot Out at the Kress Events Center in Green Bay, Brillion battles Seymour at 1:40 p.m., Valders and Wrightstown hook up at 3:15 p.m., and Shawano meets Fox Valley Lutheran of Appleton at 8:10 p.m.
At the Kohler Holiday Tournament, Little Chute meets Milwaukee Golda Meir at 2:00 p.m. followed by the host Blue Bombers against Milwaukee Arts at 4:00 p.m. Sheboygan Christian and host Elkhart Lake/Glenbeulah are part of the field at The Resorters Holiday Tournament.
Green Bay Preble hosts a tournament featuring Mosinee against Southern Door at 1:30 p.m. and the host Hornets take on Milwaukee Washington at 4:00 p.m. Menominee Michigan meets Green Bay West at the Marinette Border Battle Tournament at 5:30, followed by the host Marines against Gladstone Michigan at 7:15 p.m.
At the Rick Majerus WBY Shootout at Concordia College in Waukesha, Freedom battle Slinger at 12:15 p.m. Mount Horeb and Notre Dame meet at 1:45 p.m., Kaukauna and Whitnall go at it at 3:15 p.m.
At 4:45 p.m., Appleton North meets Eau Claire Memorial, Oshkosh North, and Arrowhead tangle at 6:15 p.m., and De Pere meets Milwaukee Academy of Science at 7:45 p.m.
Fond Du Lac and Pewaukee meet at the Kettle Moraine Holiday Tournament at 6:00 p.m., and the lone non-holiday tournament game has Plymouth hosting Appleton West at 7:00 p.m.
