The Two Rivers Historical Society will be honoring a local polka icon at an upcoming event.
The Polka Bowl will be held on February 2nd at the Sepia Chapel on Jefferson Street. Doors will open at 11:30, with music by Amy Potthoff, Mystic Moods, and Copper Box.
Time will be set aside to celebrate the Polka King, Romy Gosz, as his son Lloyd will be on hand.
Tootsie Sommers with the Historical Society said that while Copper Box is a well-known and respected band, “Amy is new to the area and isn’t well known – but her accordion sounds like she has an entire orchestra with her.”
Food and refreshments will be available, and a silent auction will be held.
