
The Roncalli Jets will play host to this year’s Manitowoc County Holiday Girls Basketball Invite at The Hangar.
Besides the host Jets, Two Rivers, Mishicot, and Reedsville will participate in the two-day Invite on Thursday and Friday.
Two Rivers comes in with the best record of the four schools at 5 and 5.
The Raiders are led offensively by Kaylee Jensen and Vayda Sonnenberg, with Jensen scoring a career-high 26 points in a victory over Roncalli earlier this season at The Hangar.
Mishicot and Reedsville come into the Invite with identical 2 and 6 records.
The Indians are led offensively by junior guard Kensi Rosenow who’s averaging 14 points-per-game and senior wing Karsyn Krause, averaging 11.5 points per game.
The Panthers also sport two players averaging double figures in junior guards Kortney Dvorachek and Mercedes Grimm.
Dvorachek pours in nearly 16 points per game, while Grimm scores nearly 11 points per contest.
Roncalli is coming off their first win of the season last Friday at New Holstein and are led by seniors Lauren Stangel and Bella Jacky.
Stangel, a senior guard, averages 16 points-per-game while Jacky is among the leading rebounders in The Eastern Wisconsin Conference at 10.5 per game.
A total of four games will be played over the two days.
Thursday’s lineup has Two Rivers taking on Reedsville at 4 p.m., followed by Roncalli and Mishicot at 5:30 p.m. On Friday, Mishicot and Two Rivers play at 4:00 p.m., with Roncalli and Reedsville to follow at 5:30 p.m.
All four games will be broadcast on 97.1 FM WCUB and at CubRadio.com, with coverage each day beginning at 3:40 p.m.
