The Two Rivers Shop with a Cop event has been deemed another big success.
The Two Rivers Police Department participated in the event last week Wednesday (December 18th) and was able to help 15 families and over 40 children.
Children were picked up by a TRPD officer in a squad car before heading to the Two Rivers Community House for a pizza dinner.
From there, the children were taken to Walmart where they were able to pick out Christmas presents for themselves and all their siblings.
In addition to the gifts for the children, Shop with a Cop also provided the parents with gift cards for groceries and gas.
After shopping the kids, officers, and volunteers returned to the Community House to wrap the gifts ahead of Christmas.
Rick Brunner of Rick’s Toybox in Green Bay also donated hand-crafted wooden toys for each child in attendance as well.
The 2024 Two Rivers Shop with a Cop event was made possible through donations from private citizens, community groups, businesses, and the Two Rivers Professional Police Association.
