While many people have voiced their intent to run for some local governmental seats this spring, only a few have completed the proper paperwork.
In Manitowoc, there are two official nominees, and they are the most prominent to have voiced their intent.
Incumbent Justin Nickels and local businessman Jason Prigge have each filed their nomination paperwork.
There have been others who have voiced interest in the position, and if they were to return their paperwork by January 7th, there would be a primary election held on February 18th.
10th District Alderman Todd Reckelberg has also announced his intent to retain his seat, while 7th District Alderman Tim Boldt has filed a notice of non-candidacy.
Meanwhile, in Two Rivers, City Council President Scott Stechmesser has filed his paperwork for an at-large seat on the council.
The spring election will be held on April 1st.
