
A local state senator has been tasked to run the Senate Committee on Natural Resources, Veterans, and Military Affairs.
1st District State Senator Andre Jacque will chair the committee that focuses on issues, interests, and priorities of residents in the district.
Jacque says, “The natural environmental features that make our area so unique in Wisconsin are essential to our local economies and communities. I am excited to continue my efforts to protect our environment as Chairman of this vital committee.”
Jacque is wrapping up his tenure as Chair of the Great Lakes Legislative Caucus and also served as a state lead for the National Caucus of Environmental Legislators.
He will also serve on other committees, including the Senate Committee on Judiciary and Public Safety, Agriculture and Revenue, Licensing, Regulator Reform, and State and Federal Affairs. Jacque will also keep his seat on the State Building Commission.
