A children’s hospital in Green Bay has received some money to help battle childhood cancer.
HSHS Wisconsin Clinical Research Institute was granted just shy of $50,000 from the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, which will go toward helping HSHS St. Vincent Children’s Hospital find new ways to manage the symptoms of cancer and cancer treatments.
Dr. Catherine Long, a Prevea Health pediatric hematologist-oncologist at HSHS St. Vincent Children’s Hospital explained that the “Clinical trials can help us better understand new ways to treat, diagnose and prevent childhood cancer. They also help us find new ways to manage the symptoms of cancer and cancer treatments.”
