The Clipper City Chordsmen have named the winners of their Harmony Award.
Tom and Besty Kocurek were nominated because of their long history of community involvement in several organizations.
They served as teacher-naturalists at Woodland Dunes Nature Center before accepting roles on the Board of Directors in 2004.
Both Tom and Betsy have also served at the Lincoln Park Zoological Society for over a decade and continue to help by setting up the lights in Lincoln Park for the Christmas Season and feeding the other volunteers who also help in this setup. Tom also served as executive director for Big Brothers Big Sisters for seven years.
Don Lewellen with the Clipper City Chordsmen says they are, “Proud to congratulate Tom and Betsy Kocourek for their energy, generosity, and for their enthusiastic support of so many community organizations. These two individuals exemplify the goal of this award.”
The award was presented at the Chordsmen’s Christmas Show on Saturday, December 14th, at the Franciscan Center for Music Education and Performance in Manitowoc.
