The outdoor skating rink in downtown Manitowoc is now open for the season.
Dan Koski, the City’s Director of Public Infrastructure, tells SeehaferNews.com that the portable rink is set up in the same place as in previous years, adjacent to Burger Boat Park and the Briess Malt parking lot in the 700 block of Quay Street.
There is no cost to skate, however, you must bring your own skates as skate rental is not available.
Benches and picnic tables around the rink are available for those wishing to rest or change footwear.
At times, the rink may be closed for resurfacing or weather-related factors.
Signs will be posted when it is closed for this reason or another reason.
