Wisconsin’s Republican U.S. Senator, Ron Johnson, will not be serving as the U.S. Ambassador to Mexico under President-elect Donald Trump.
Instead, another individual named Ron Johnson, a former ambassador to El Salvador, has been appointed to the role.
The Wisconsin Senator took to social media to clarify the confusion, humorously pointing out that there are multiple people named Ron Johnson across the country.
