Traffic patterns on a road may be changing in the City of Sheboygan.
The Sheboygan Public Works Committee will meet tomorrow (December 10th) to discuss and approve a speed limit change and the installation of a stop sign.
The Committee will discuss lowering the speed limit on Lakeshore Drive between Washington Avenue and Wilson Avenue from 35 MPH to 25 MPH.
They will also discuss installing a stop sign at the Lakeshore Drive intersection with High Avenue and 7th Street.
These are both heavily trafficked areas by Sheboygan motorists, and if these ordinances are approved, the Public Works Committee wants to improve safety in the area near Lake Michigan.
If the committee approves the traffic changes on Lakeshore Drive, the proposal will go to the Common Council for final approval.
