The recent snowfall came at the perfect time, as Camp Sinawa in Valders gears up for its annual holiday tradition.
Guests are invited to visit the camp for the annual Christmas at Sinawa celebration this weekend.
Camp Ranger Sara Nelson calls the event a “unique and fun way” to kick off the holiday season, as they offer wagon rides through the woods and serve their ever-popular chili to those who attend.
Another major part of the weekend is decorating the cabins, which are done by various businesses and organizations.
New this year is a cabin decorated by American Legion Post 477 and Auxiliary Unit 477 out of St. Nazianz, along with the Sons of the American Legion.
The event hosted by the Friends of Sinawa begins at 4:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the camp located at 9113 Sinawa Road.
The cost is $5 per person or $20 for a carload.
