It will be a busy day in the City of Manitowoc as there are three meetings on the calendar.
First up is the Police and Fire Commission, which will be in the lower level of the Public Safety Building to discuss the Police Department’s Patrol Officer and Captain of Detectives eligibility lists.
At the same time, the Room Tax Committee will be in the Council Chambers in City Hall, where they will look over a request for a matching place makeover grant.
They will also enter a closed session to continue negotiations with the Manitowoc Area Visitor and Convention Bureau.
A judge previously ordered the City and the MAVCB to have a working relationship after the Cities of Manitowoc and Two Rivers ended their previous agreement at the end of 2021.
Also scheduled to meet today is the Finance Committee, which will also be in the Council Chambers at 5:30 p.m.
After giving the public time to comment, the group will look over a pair of resolutions.
The first is to establish election worker compensation for 2025, while the other will be to hold a primary election on February 18th ahead of the spring election.
The committee will also look over an amendment to the TID 16 Development Agreement with Manitowoc Place LLC for the development of 34 residential units and 6,000 feet of commercial space in the former Mid Cities and Lakeshore Mall properties.
