A teenager in Fond du Lac has been arrested after leading law enforcement on two police chases.
Officers with the Fond du Lac Police Department located a vehicle in the 100 block of East 12th Street on Sunday (December 1st), which fit the description of a stolen automobile from Ripon.
A traffic stop was initiated; however, the driver, an 18-year-old Fond du Lac County resident, fled.
The teen increased their speed and evaded officers, starting the first of the two pursuits.
Officers lost sight of the vehicle near East Lane and ended the pursuit.
Shortly after, the vehicle was again located on Birchwood Court. Once again, the suspect fled, leading officers on the second police pursuit on South Park Avenue.
Stop sticks were successfully deployed in the area of East Johnson Street, but the 18-year-old continued with deflated tires.
As the driver approached a turn at North Park Avenue and Lighthouse Court, he failed to negotiate the curve.
The car went off the road, struck trees, and ended the pursuit.
He was arrested and now faces two charges of Fleeing/Eluding an Officer and Operating a Motor Vehicle without the Owner’s Consent, amongst other charges.
