The City of Two Rivers will be looking to pass its 2025 city budget next week on Monday (December 2nd).
City Manager Greg Buckley says that the $42 million budget includes a $12.5 million general fund budget.
It also includes no property tax increase.
“I’ve proposed, and the Finance Committee has agreed, that it’s appropriate to keep our dollar levy flat,” Buckley told SeehaferNews.com. “As far as any change from 2024, particularly this being a revaluation year.”
The tax levy will also not include raising it like in years past. Buckley continues by saying the budget consists of various capital projects totaling about $3 million and includes some borrowing.
More work will be done at Neshotah Park while helping the police and fire department’s budgets.
The city council held a public hearing during their work session on Monday (November 24th), but no one from the public spoke.
