The Manitowoc Public School Board is supporting the change of ownership in their bus company.
The board unanimously consented to Brandt Buses being purchased by Student Transportation of America.
Brandt President Stephen Roekle says he is not leaving the company but taking a small step back from his current responsibility.
The school board had to be involved because Brandt cannot be reassigned to another bus company without its expressed consent.
MPSD Interim Superintendent Lee Thennes explained that the contract has been modified for the purchase’s closing date of January 2nd.
It was originally set to be done on December 2nd but was changed for accounting purposes.
