The owner of Brandt Buses is taking a step back from his current responsibilities.
According to documents from the Manitowoc Public School District, Stephen Roekle announced that a purchase agreement with Student Transportation of America was completed with a potential closing date of December 2nd.
The school board is involved because the deal requires that Brandt Buses not be reassigned to another bus company without the board’s express consent.
Roekle is requesting permission from the school board.
He says Student Transportation of America has a vast knowledge base and years of experience.
The school board could vote on the memo during a special meeting this evening beginning at 6:00 pm.
