The Two Rivers Police Department’s patch and squad cars will soon have a new look.
Police officers in the Cool City have been sporting the same patch design for the past 30 years, with former Police Chief Randy Ammerman implementing the design.
The new logo is a variant of the recently implemented Two Rivers City logo, which features a lighthouse, a seagull, and a boat on the waters of Lake Michigan and adds a colorful sunset in the background.
The new logo will be prominently displayed on the new squad car design, which, thanks to the assistance of some Two Rivers High School students, will also feature memorial decals in honor of fallen officers Leo Rocque and Thomas Dodge.
In the announcement, the Two Rivers Police Department explained, “We know it may take some time for some to embrace a new look, but know we are still the same dedicated agency we have always been, and we will continue to carry on with our tradition of service to our community. We take great pride in what we do and want you to be proud of your police department as we start this new chapter.”
