The Port of Green Bay saw a bit of a slowdown last month.
In his monthly tonnage report, Port of Green Bay Director Dean Dawn states that a total of 139,876 tons of products were shipped through the port on 19 vessels, bringing the year-to-date total up to just over 1.4 million tons.
That is 9% less than had gone through the port by this time last year.
Haen did note that it is common to “have fluctuations month-to-month as tonnage ebbs and flows, based on regional, national and global demand.”
The leading cargo during October was cement at 60,874 tons, with limestone coming in a close second at 60,424 tons.
Other cargo during October included petroleum products (8,615 tons), coal (7,963 tons), and wood pulp (2,000 tons).
