The Manitowoc County judge assigned to rule in Steven Avery’s latest appeal has recused himself.
According to court records, Washura County Judge Guy Dutcher will continue to look over the appeal of the case after Judge Anthony Lambrecht decided to no longer preside over the case.
Avery has been trying to get his case appealed since his 2005 murder conviction in the death of Teresa Halbach.
Another hearing on the appeal is scheduled for December.
