Thousands of pounds of ready-to-eat meat products from a South Carolina company have been recalled.
Approximately 4,589 pounds of meat and poultry products from Yu Shang Food Incorporated have been recalled due to possible listeria contamination.
The products in question were produced between October 21st through the 27th, with “use-by” dates ranging from August 21st, 2025, through August 27th, 2025.
These items were shipped nationwide to retail locations and were available for purchase online.
The recall comes following routine testing of the products produced by Yu Shang Food, which were confirmed to test positive for listeria on October 21st.
Consuming food contaminated with listeria may cause fever, muscle aches, headache, and more, mainly affecting older persons and those with a weakened immune system.
The Food Safety and Inspection Service is concerned people may have the recalled products in their freezers and are encouraged to check.
