An Appleton woman has been ordered to stand trial for a fatal stabbing over the summer.
According to court documents, 39-year-old Samantha Krebs was inside an Outagamie County courtroom yesterday for a preliminary hearing.
The court found probable cause in the case, and Krebs was bound over for trial.
Krebs has been in custody since July 18th, with her bail set at $1 million for allegedly fatally stabbing her boyfriend.
The incident took place in the 2800 block of North Park Drive just before 10:00 p.m., and when authorities arrived, life-saving measures were performed, but the unnamed man was pronounced dead on the scene.
According to a criminal complaint, when Krebs allowed someone into the Appleton apartment, she said, “he just stabbed himself.”
At the time, Appleton Police had also stated that Krebs told authorities that her boyfriend stabbed himself, and she found out he died in a newspaper.
If convicted, she could face life in prison.
Krebs is next due back in court on Tuesday (November 5th).
