Some baby powder products have been recalled due to a possible asbestos contamination.
The Dynarex Corporation has extended the recall of their 4- and 14-ounce bottles of baby powder.
The Dynarex baby powder in question was sold to distributors in 35 states, including Wisconsin, throughout 2024, and on Amazon.
The recall came as a result of a routine sampling of the baby powder, which revealed that the finished product contained asbestos.
No illnesses or adverse effects related to the potential asbestos contamination have been reported; however, the recall is being made as a precaution.
Asbestos is a naturally forming mineral often found near talc, one of the main ingredients in baby powder.
If talc mining sites are not carefully chosen or if the talc is not adequately purified, it may contain asbestos.
