Numerous area fire departments will be competing to help raise money.
The first-ever Fireman’s Games will be held at Troubadour Vineyard and Events in Reedsville on Sunday (October 13th).
The event will begin at 11:00 a.m. and go until 7:00 p.m. with the games beginning at 1:00.
The Collins, Elkhart Lake, Francis Creek, Kellnersville, Kiel, Maribel, Menchalville, Plymouth, Reedsville, and Wayside Fire Departments will be taking part in the competition.
The goal of the event is to raise at least $15,000 to ensure each department competing will be able to take home at least $1,500.
With the community’s partnership, they are hoping to make this a yearly tradition to raise money.
The games will also feature a live music performance by the Dave Steffen Band and food for purchase prepared by JAAAGZ Bar and Grill.
The event is open to the public, and sponsorship is not required, although it is appreciated.
