A teen accused of shooting a gun around apartments on Meadowbrook Drive in Manitowoc last year is going to prison.
Manitowoc County Judge Robert Dewane sentenced 18-year-old Gabriel Soto of Two Rivers to two and a half years in prison, followed by five years on extended supervision last Thursday.
He must also pay a little more than $2,500 in restitution and must maintain full-time employment.
Soto’s sentencing comes after he pleaded no contest to five counts, including 1st-degree recklessly endangering safety, criminal damage to property, and intentionally selling a dangerous weapon to a child.
Soto and a 16-year-old teen were arrested after police were called to the 1700 block of Meadowbrook Drive last year on a report of shots fire.
Soto and the other teen shot at an unoccupied vehicle while other bullets went into other apartments.
No one was injured.
It’s not known what happened to Soto’s accomplice in the incident.
