
The results of the Wisconsin Soybean Marketing Board election have been certified.
The DATCP has certified that two individuals have been elected to the board to represent their respective districts.
Justin Bauer of Eau Claire has been elected to represent District Two, while Steve Wilkens of Random Lake received the most votes to represent District Seven.
In District Seven, Wilkens will represent area counties, including Brown, Calumet, Door, Kewaunee, and Outagamie, amongst others.
Bauer and Wilkens will be serving three-year terms, which officially began on September 1st.
The Wisconsin Soybean Marketing Board is made up of seven producers from seven districts throughout the state.
They are responsible for overseeing the collection and use of roughly $3.5 million in assessment fees paid by Wisconsin’s soybean producers.
