An outdoor painting competition is coming back to the city of Plymouth.
The Paint the Town in Fall Colors en Plein Air exhibition takes place on October 2nd through the 9th, but artists can save money if they register for the event by Monday, September 23rd.
The fee right now is $45, but it will cost $55 after the 23rd.
The Plymouth Arts Center, which runs the event, says this year’s judge is Michelle Richeson, who grew up in Appleton.
Richeson explains that she’s had the honor of being the Creative Director for Jack Richeson and Company, creating magazine ads and designs for the company’s wide array of supplies, instructional materials, and artist’s furniture.
The public can view and even bid on the art on Friday, October 11th from 6:00 pm at a reception at the Plymouth Arts Center.
Cash awards for the artist will total $3,000, along with non-cash merit awards.
