A two-vehicle car crash in Manitowoc resulted in a car sitting on its roof.
The crash occurred just after 8:00 a.m. Monday (August 19th) near the intersection of Viebahn Street and 23rd Street.
The incident involved a Chevy Cruz traveling south on 23rd Street, where it struck a Toyota Tundra truck parked on the east side of the road.
According to police, the driver of the southbound vehicle lost control of the car when one of their dogs jumped on their lap.
This resulted in the car crossing over the northbound lane, striking the stationary truck, and subsequently rolling over the Chevy Cruze.
The vehicle came to a stop upside down on its roof.
Significant damage was done to the left front portion of the truck and the driver’s side door.
The driver of the Chevy Cruze was transported to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
The Manitowoc Police Department also stated that there was no indication the driver was traveling at high speeds.
