Green Bay Packers Tight End Tucker Kraft has returned to practice after tearing a pectoral muscle in the offseason.
Kraft is still in a limited role and will most likely not see any action during the preseason, but he said he was excited to get back out there with the guys.
One of the guys in particular he mentioned was fellow Tight End, Luke Musgrave.
Kraft and Musgrave are both entering their second season in the NFL.
Kraft spoke with Seehafer News noting, “The thing about Tight Ends, you have to rely on each other a lot when it comes to the run game. You have to be on the same page, and you have to be locked in.”
Kraft spent the first part of training camp on the physically unable to perform list which saw him inside the Don Hutson Center doing individual rehab.
Most of this rehab for his torn pec involved low weight, high rep workouts and getting his mobility back.
During that time, Kraft was itching to put on his helmet and shoulder pads to get back to work with Jordan Love and the offense.
While this is Kraft’s second year in the NFL, it is also Love’s second year as the starting Quarterback for the green and gold.
Kraft is working on building trust with the franchise Quarterback, telling us he wants to “constantly be an option. I want to always be someone he can lean on.”
While Kraft is not yet back to full-contact practice, the second-year Tight End said that he will be ready come week one when Green Bay takes on Philadelphia in Brazil.
