The bond for the mother of missing 3-year-old Elijah Vue is staying the same.
Katrina Baur, with her new attorney Amber Gratz, were before Judge Robert Dewane from the Manitowoc County Jail yesterday (August 7th) where a request to lower her cash bond was denied.
The defense stated that Baur couldn’t pay the $15,000 bail and asked to have it lowered to $5,000
The state objected, citing concerns with Baur’s history, a lack of address, and the seriousness of the case.
Judge Dewane agreed, saying $5,000 was not sufficient for the nature of the case.
Baur is due back in court for a status conference on October 22nd.
Her boyfriend, Jesse Vang, was the last person to have seen Elijah.
He is scheduled to be back in court on September 27th, also for a status conference.
