
The annual Sheboygan Coho-Derby is returning for its 56th installment this weekend.
The yearly fishing competition will run from August 2nd to the 4th, featuring pro, amateur, and regular divisions, inviting anglers of all skill levels to compete.
The derby will be headquartered at Deland Park on the shore of Lake Michigan and festivities kick-off on Friday at 6:00 p.m.
Fishing starts Saturday at 12:01 a.m. for the regular division and will conclude on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
For the pro and amateur groups, fishing times will be from 5:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
There is an estimated $55,000 in prizes on the line.
Fish eligible for the tournament are King and Coho Salmon as well as Brown, Rainbow, and Lake Trout.
All fish caught must be at least 18 inches to qualify in all divisions.
Deland Park will also host live music, bounce houses, and the leading fish for attendees to see throughout the weekend.
