Oshkosh Defense will produce modernized heavy tactical vehicles, kits, and kit installs for the United States Army.
On Monday (July 8th), the Oshkosh company announced that the Army Contracting Command – Detroit Arsenal placed orders with a total cost of $231.9 million.
Among the products they will produce are A4 tankers, cargos, wreckers, Palletized Load System (PLS) A1’s, and more.
Oshkosh Defense will also recapitalize the PLS A1 fleet to integrate advanced capabilities, extend the vehicle life, and reduce their operating costs.
This has been a practice of Oshkosh Defense for decades to recapitalize Army vehicles to field operations with modern tech, in “zero-miles zero-hours condition.”
This is just the latest project for Oshkosh Defense in a long history of producing vehicles and equipment for the United States Army.
