
A vehicle chase that started in Fond du Lac County ended up going into Washington County.
The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office reports that deputies had observed a vehicle driving recklessly on Highway B near Highway 41 and attempted to pull them over.
The driver instead sped off, prompting a chase and a call for backup.
The driver was able to keep going after a successful PIT maneuver near Slinger and kept driving south on 41 into Washington County.
Sheriff’s Deputies and Germantown Police joined the chase, which resulted in the successful deployment of spike strips.
The vehicle entered the ditch and the driver surrendered, however the passenger attempted to flee, but was caught quickly by a State Patrol Trooper.
The 32-year-old male driver, a Fond du Lac resident, was arrested on charges of Fleeing or Eluding, Recklessly Endangering Safety, and Possession of THC, while the passenger was arrested on a charge of Resisting or Obstructing and had a felony arrest warrant out on him.
In total, the chase lasted 41 miles and involved five police entities.
