There are two Manitowoc County governmental meetings scheduled for today (July 8th).
First up is the Finance Committee, which will gather in the Communications and Technology Building at 4:30 p.m.
County Executive Bob Ziegelbauer will give an update on the Human Services Department deficit before the group discusses the potential implementation of a .5% sales tax in the county.
Following that meeting, the Executive Committee will meet in the same room.
They will discuss potentially entering into the opioid settlement, the establishment of an Opioid Task Force, as explained last week by Board Chairman Tyler Martel, and the Board’s role in the budget process.
