State Troopers will be riding along with semi-truck drivers in their Trooper in a Truck program.
Next week, Monday through Friday, State Troopers can be found in the passenger seat of semis to enforce traffic laws from an elevated surface.
The program is designed to bring down the number of injuries and crashes involving commercial motor vehicles.
In the past five years, Wisconsin has averaged roughly 7,000 crashes involving large trucks every year.
Last year alone, 70 people died in such accidents, many of which were caused by distracted drivers.
Trooper in a Truck focuses on eliminating the threat of distracted driving on Wisconsin Roads.
Drivers will see Trooper in a Truck enforcement in Hudson, Waukesha, Madison, Green Bay, and Wausau throughout the week.
