A day of celebration ended with a garage fire in Appleton.
The Appleton Fire Department was dispatched to the 1600 block of East Lindbergh Street at around 10:30 p.m. last night (July 4th) on a report of a structure fire.
When crews arrived, smoke and flames were seen coming from inside an attached garage.
The fire was doused within 15 minutes, but not before the structure and its contents were damaged to the tune of roughly $25,000 worth.
The cause of the fire is not yet known.
The Appleton Fire Department was aided at the scene by the Little Chute Fire Department and the Appleton Police Department.
