
The man deemed responsible for the death of a Sheboygan girl last year has been convicted.
Nathan Dayne Heitzmann was found guilty due to a no-contest plea on a charge of Homicide by Vehicle While Using a Controlled Substance, while a charge of Knowingly Operating While Suspended Causing Death was dismissed by read into the record.
Heitzmann was behind the wheel of the truck that struck and killed Cordelia Kiether on April 12th, 2023.
Cordelia died from her injuries, and three others were taken to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
A GoFundMe for the family raised over $38,000 for funeral expenses.
Heitzmann is due back in court on August 29th for his sentencing.
