An 80-year-old Door County man has been arrested in connection to a fraud case.
The Door County Sheriff’s Office and Sturgeon Bay Police Department teamed up in the investigation, which led them to Dale Pautsch of Nasewaupee, just west of Sturgeon Bay.
The details of the case have not been released, but it was noted that the investigation was “lengthy” and “complex” for both departments.
Pautsch has been charged with two counts each of Money Laundering and Theft in a Business Setting, each with one count being between $10,000 and $100,000 and one count each over $100,000, and all four charges have a Crime Against an Elderly or Disabled Person enhancer.
The investigation is still open, and anyone with any concerns they have about interactions with Pautsch or ROS Consultants Inc. are encouraged to contact the Door County Sheriff’s Office or Sturgeon Bay Police Department.
