Manitowoc County had opinions on Thursday’s presidential debate.
Numerous calls and texts came in Friday morning on The Jim and Rick Show, with one man saying,
“It just blew me away that the Democrats, I mean, these are the big supporters of Biden, are just saying you’re going to have to get someone else in, or this guy is just not holding up. He can’t hold a thought, and he didn’t have his best night.”
A woman shared her take, also pointing to President Biden’s less-than-perfect performance.
“I’m still for Trump, and I don’t think we should be voting for Biden because feeling sorry for him,” she said.
“I don’t think he had a cold going in there. I mean, I think there was more wrong with him than that.”
Even Biden supporters were concerned.
One man told Jim Medley and Rick Sawyer,
“The past couple of weeks, I’ve been making my own political signs with things like Go Brewers, go Biden, go Packers, go Biden. I won’t be able to display them after that debate. Joe Biden needs to drop out and enjoy his remaining years. I felt so sorry for him.”
A regular listener and contributor suggested everyone just cool off a bit.
“We need to back off to give them some time to rest and then have another debate,” she said before noting, “I will go with Biden, and he’s not old.”
