A Manitowoc man has been arrested on child porn charges.
The investigation into the 53-year-old man began in November 2023 when the Middleton Police Department contacted the Manitowoc Police Department to have them serve a stalking letter to the man.
Then, on May 29th, the Sauk Prairie Police Department contacted Manitowoc Police after they learned of a sexual conversation between the suspect and another underage victim.
Both cases were passed off to the local investigators after warrants were issued for the Snapchat conversations.
A search of the suspect’s North 20th Street home was conducted Thursday.
While being interviewed, the man admitted to sharing sexual videos and photos with the second victim despite knowing they were under 18 years of age.
He also saved sexual photos of that same victim on his phone and had called the first victim seven months after being served the stalking paperwork.
More than 15 hard drives were seized from his home, along with several flash drives and mobile devices, which are still being sorted through.
Some child sexual assault material was found on at least three of them, and printed photos of one of the victims were found in his home.
Also found in his home was a 211.2-gram bag of marijuana, a jar containing 30.4 grams of THC wax, and roughly 5,000 grams of Kratom, which is a Schedule I drug.
The man was charged with two counts of Soliciting a Child Representation Depicting Nudity, as well as one count each of Exposing a Child to Harmful Material, Possession of Child Pornography, Stalking, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of THC and a Schedule I Drug, each with Intent to Deliver.
