A bar in downtown Manitowoc is likely to lose its liquor license.
The Manitowoc Common Council will be holding a special meeting at 5:00 this evening (June 25th) in the Council Chambers, where they will start by looking over the Intergovernmental Agreement for Law Enforcement Services for the 2024 Republican National Convention.
Then, they will hold a public hearing on the non-renewal of the Class B Liquor and Fermented Malt Beverage License for Leslie O’s LLC, which operates Déjà Vu.
A letter to Roger Burt and Carrie Orth, the operators of the LLC, states that they provided false information on their renewal application and that both have a criminal record, which disqualifies them from having the license.
A total of 19 pieces of evidence will be presented at the hearing, including numerous citations for the bar and for Orth and Burt.
According to a report submitted by the Manitowoc Police Department, officers have been called to Déjà Vu twenty-five times since September 9th, 2022, for violations ranging from loud music to drugs and harassment.
