The legendary Schmitt Brothers Quartet will be honored this summer with a barbershop concert on July 20th in Two Rivers’ Central Park.
The event is called “Harmony Lives on the Schmitt Brothers Stage” and will feature numerous barbershop quartets.
Grow it Forward will serve food, and representatives of the Washington House Museum will scoop ice cream.
Central Park has significance for the Schmitt family, as that is where Jim, Joe, Paul, and Fran were welcomed home after their win at the 1951 Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barber Shop Quartet Singing in America competition.
You can learn more about the group by visiting SchmittBrothersQuartet.com, or by following the Schmitt Brothers Quartet page on Facebook.
