
It was a pair of wins for two Manitowoc American Legion Baseball teams last night.
The 19U team was able to beat Sheboygan Legion 12-6.
Manitowoc got three runs in the 1st inning to take the lead before Sheboygan Legion got three of their own in the top of the 2nd and another in the 3rd to hold the game at 4-3.
But then Manitowoc’s 19U team went on a tear, scoring four runs in the 4th and 5th innings and adding an insurance run in the 6th to secure the win.
The Manitowoc Legion 17U team also had a fantastic night, dominating Sheboygan 23-13.
The 17U squad put up 10 runs in the 1st inning after giving up 8 in the top of the 1st.
They then added 7 more runs in the second inning to go up 17-8 by the 3rd inning.
A couple more runs allowed them to secure the win in six innings.
The 19U squad is still perfect on the season with a 4-0 record while the 17U team is at back to .500 at 3-3.
The 19U squad hits the road tonight for a game at Bay Port along with the 16U team while the 17U team will be back in action on Friday as they play against Little Chute in a tournament in Oshkosh.
