With the weather warming up, people have begun enjoying a day at Neshotah Beach.
For some, that includes taking their canine companions out for walks as well, but dogs aren’t allowed everywhere along the Cool City’s Lake Michigan Shoreline.
Dogs are allowed on the beach east of the Twin Rivers’ outlet into the lake without a leach, however leashes are required on the beach between the North Pier and the southernmost Neshotah Beach parking lot.
However, dogs are not allowed on Neshotah Beach, even with a leash, between 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m.
If you want to bring your furry friend to the area that City Manager Greg Buckley calls the best beach in Wisconsin, you can do so between 6:00 and 10:00 a.m., as long as they are on a leash.
You can learn more about the rules for the beach by visiting Two-Rivers.org.
