
The trial for a man charged following a boat accident near Oshkosh is now underway.
53-year-old Jason Lindemann is facing charges of Negligent Operation of a Boat, two counts of 2nd Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety, and twelve counts of Failing to Render Aid After Causing a Boating Accident.
He was arrested shortly after the crash on July 9th, 2022 where he crashed his powerboat into a riverboat on the Fox River.
A total of 44 people were on the riverboat, named “On the Loos” when it was approaching the dock at the end of an evening trip.
Lindemann then reportedly sped off, leaving numerous injured individuals behind.
He was apprehended a short time later.
His trial in front of Judge Michael Gibbs is scheduled to last through next Friday in Brach 4 of the Winnebago County Courtroom.
